Rotrex OnSite maintains and inspects most types of Permanent Rail and Davit Jibs.
Permanent Rail
Permanent rail systems offer an excellent alternative to the traditional BMU's in certain scenarios. Permanent rail systems are generally supported via cantilever brackets or permanently installed jibs fixed back to the building structure.
Permanent rails can be installed where there is limited roof space due to plant or where the access from a roof-mounted BMU is not practical. Permanent rail systems are also widely installed internally for accessing atria.
It is essential that safe designated areas are provided to ensure good access to the monorail suspension point for rigging. It is also important that provision is made for transporting the cradle between rigging points at roof or ground level.
The permanent rail system is designed to accommodate either one or two man powered or manual cradles.
Davit jibs
Davit jibs are designed as a portable suspension point for suspending either a one/two man powered or manual cradle. The jibs can be either permanently installed or transferable when required in more than one location.
It is essential that safe designated areas are provided to ensure good access to the davit suspension point for rigging. It is also important that provision is made for transporting the cradle between rigging points at roof level.
Working with building owners and building managers, Rotrex OnSite ensures that permanent rail systems and davit jibs remains in top condition, ready and safe to use. Rail systems provide a useful method of building access when roof space is limited – and can be used internally or externally.
