Rotrex OnSite will supply, install, maintain, inspect, test and certify secure anchor points created by eyebolts and pushlocks to ensure their integrity right around the UK.
It is a legislative requirement that safety harness eyebolts are tested and recertified annually by suitably qualified personnel.
These safety eyebolts can be used by fixing to an outside or inside face of a structural element adjacent to a window or other access.
Traditional Eyebolts
Ringanka eyebolts are for use in brickwork, concrete and steelwork. They have a 16mm diameter unthreaded shank to ‘plug’ a drilled hole, thus reducing the bending effects which would result in earlier failure during shear loading.
These safety eyebolts can be used by fixing to an outside or inside face of a structural element adjacent to a window or other access. They are manufactured from either high tensile carbon steel with a galvanised or plastic-coated finish, or grade 316 stainless steel.
- Conforms to Class A1 EN795 and BS7883
- System used by attaching lanyard to eyebolt
- Produced from 316 stainless steel or high tensile carbon steel with either a galvanised or white-coated finish
- Available for use in brickwork, concrete and steelwork
- BS7883 states that eyebolts should be removable for periodic inspection. This is easily achievable by using knurled inserts and appropriate resin
PushLock Eyebolts
The Latchways PushLock safety eyebolt provides a discreet yet highly effective alternative to unsightly conventional eyebolts.
While conventional eyebolts meet the safety need, their lack of aesthetic consideration can impair the visual characteristics of the office, hotel or housing environment in which they are installed. The pleasing design and assured safety of the Latchways PushLock overcomes the problem.
Safety Harness Eyebolts – installation
All of our engineers are trained by ‘Independent Fixing Consultants’, who provide training for specialist anchoring systems such as safety harness eyebolts. At Rotrex OnSite, we are able to offer a full design and installation service for all types of eyebolts including the more aesthetically pleasing pushlock eyebolt manufactured by Latchways.
Eyebolts – recertification
It is a legislative requirement that safety harness eyebolts are tested and recertified annually by suitably qualified personnel. Legislation states that eyebolts should be inspected and hydraulically tested to 6kN for a minimum of 15 seconds on an annual basis. Upon completion of a satisfactory test an ID tag will be fitted stating the ID number and next test due date. Once recertification is complete a test certificate will be issued from our office.
